In 2012, Theatre Americana was awarded a certificate of appreciation from Relay for Life Monrovia. Since then, Theatre Americana has been celebrated by the State of California Senate, California Legislature Assembly, U.S. Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano, and the County of Los Angeles. The 95th Annual Oscars was a huge year for Everything Everywhere All at Once. The new hit film was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actress, Best Leading Actress, Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, Best Film Editing and Best Directing.
The Academy also loved All Quiet on the Western Front. This German film won Best International Feature Film, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, and Best Production Design.
This special Oscars marked the return of actor Brendan Fraser. After a 20-year break from acting after allegedly being sexually assaulted, Fraser won Best Actor for The Whale.
Best Original Song was granted to Naatu Naatu by M.M. Keeravani and Chandrabose. Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio won Best Animated Feature, and Navalnv won Best Documentary Feature. Best Live Action Short Film was given to An Irish Goodbye, and Avatar: the Way of Water won Best Visual Effects.
